Getting ready for the start of term at Callywith College
2 weeks ago
Students travelling to Callywith College have improved bus services to get them to class on time.
As well as the 188 and 189, the new 190 will make sure there’s a spread of services across St Austell. There have been some changes to the 188 and 189 services to improve the routes and the new 190 will make it easier for more students to make use of the college services.
We’ve also made changes to the 172 and 25A.
To make it easier for students to find the best bus stop for their service, the route breakdowns are as follows:
188 - Starts at Lanjeth, via Trewoon along the A3059 to the Edgecombe Triangle, left on to the Truro Road B3274, White River Cinema, South Street, East Hill, Kings Avenue, into St Austell Bus Station, Carlyon Road, Polkyth Road, Slades Road (Aldi), Treverbyn Road then left out on to the bypass and off on current routes to Penwithick.
189 - Starts at Biscovey, onto Holmbush Road, turn right onto the bypass, left at the first roundabout onto Trenowah Road, turn right at Bethel Methodist Church onto Brockstone Road, Manear Road, Phernyssik Road, then right onto Carclaze Road back onto the bypass, then left and continue current route onto Stenalees.
190 - From Mevagissey follow the B3273 all the way to the McDonalds double roundabout, South Street, East Hill, Alexandra Road, Victoria Road, Mount Charles, Holbush Road, St Blazey Gate, St Blazey, up Penpillick Hill, left at Pelyn Vets, Sweetshouse, Lanhydrock House, Carminnow Cross and then onto the college.
172 - starts in Torpoint and runs via Antony, Tregantle Turn, Crafthole, Downderry, Seaton, Hessenford, No Man's Land, East Looe Bridge, Barcelona Cross, Pelynt, East Taphouse, Doublebois, A38, Callywith College.
Students living in Luxulyan will now be able to catch the 25A, which will link to the 189 at Chapel Field in the morning and afternoon.
