Curtailment of seasonal services 72 and 72A

1 week ago Tue 7th Sep 2021

Regrettably, we are having to end the seasonal additions to the 72 and 72A earlier than planned.

As with other areas of the transport sector, we’re experiencing a shortage of drivers available to work, so we're having to make some tough decisions.

Our priority is to focus on routes which get students to school, key workers to their jobs, and patients and visitors to healthcare, so we’ve decided to end the seasonal parts of the 72/A routes with immediate effect.

This means the 72 will still run between Plymouth, Looe and Polperro as normal, but journeys between Seaton and Polperro, and journeys after 2000 between Tregoad Holiday Park and Polperro, will no longer run.

You can see all our current timetables on our website or via the Go Cornwall Bus app.

We're doing everything we can to maintain our services through the current wave of absence, our people will get better and we have people applying to join us. Our challenges have been compounded by delays at the DVLA, slowing down the paperwork we need before someone can drive for us.
